Spitting Feathers – Crushed Black Malt, 500g

Black Malt as the name suggests is used in the production of darker beers such as mild’s, stouts and porters. It can of course be mixed with the lighter malts to recreate your favourite beer or perhaps create your own secret recipe. Black malt should be used sparingly (no more than 5% of total malt content of your brew) and has a very strong burnt coffee flavour.

This malt has a colour of between 1220 and 1440 EBC’s and is supplied ready crushed in 500gm packs.
